“Someday I will run a marathon.”
Running is a passion for Organics Circularity business unit project engineer Noora Kallström, as is circular economy.
“We have to take better care of the earth. That’s why helping public and private actors
develop more sustainable solutions is extremely rewarding”.
What are your responsibilities at Griffin?
I work at the Organics Circularity business unit in Helsinki and deal with various issues concerning the European market as well as the Middle East markets. My work includes a wide range of tasks from customer service and marketing to project management and internal affairs.
Why did you want to join Griffin?
Griffin is working to solve one of the most pressing challenges in the world – how to manage waste in a sustainable way. Being part of the team that develops sustainable and commercially viable solutions and products was an opportunity I did not want to miss.
How do you see your role at Griffin?
Even though Griffin is now a relatively small company, it is growing all the time. My job challenges me constantly, and I focus on learning more about our field. All the expertise on circular economy gathered at Griffin will help me become an even better environmental professional. As a result, I will be able to support our customers in even more ways than before.
What did you do before you joined Griffin?
I have studied environmental technology and have a Master of Science in Technology. Before joining Griffin, I worked with environmental issues in the energy and forest sectors, which also deepened my understanding of sustainable solutions in different industries.
When you are not working for a more sustainable world what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy camping and also long-distance running. My plan is to one day take part in a marathon, but that is still far away. Lately, knitting and baking have also become hobbies of mine, bringing a nice variation to outdoor activities.
